Customer records, project details, documents and schedules often live in different applications. An AI feature needs a deliberate way to access the right information and, when appropriate, act on it. We assess supported APIs, MCP connections and existing application integrations as part of the project.
The available access matters more than the connector label. Some services permit reading but restrict updates. Others require specific account plans, administrator consent or additional scopes. We inspect those requirements before promising a workflow.
Make ownership and permissions explicit.
We identify which account owns the connection, which users may use it and which data the feature can retrieve. Where several accounts are involved, the experience needs to make the selected account clear. A business workflow should not silently mix records or actions across accounts.
Integration design also includes refresh behavior, expired access and what happens when the external service is unavailable. The user needs an accurate account of what completed, what failed and what can be retried.
Bring context into the interaction.
A useful integration can do more than display raw API output. It can provide the information an assistant needs to summarize a situation, explain an option or prepare the next step. The presentation must still preserve the underlying facts and the result of any executed action.
We define how records are identified, how updates are checked and how the interface reflects a change. Existing application controls remain relevant for review and correction.
Scope the connection before the build.
Bring the names of the systems, the records involved and an example of the desired workflow. We examine the available interfaces, permissions, data structure and vendor limits. From there, we can outline the integration, its acceptance checks and the support it will require.
